Day to day, I:
Am responsible for the overall management and successful delivery of our 2 ERDF funded projects: Ready2Grow and Innovate Northamptonshire, ensuring that we deliver against our targets and keep our funders happy! My role involves lots of lovely words like compliance, governance and claims, oh and lots and lots of questions!
For me, the best part about working at the Growth Hub is:
Our amazing team of dedicated, passionate people who despite all the rules we have to follow do whatever they can to ensure we offer a professional, approachable, supportive service to our clients.
When it’s my turn to buy the biscuits, I’m choosing:
Ooh tricky but I do like a plain old shortbread particularly a chunky Scottish one.
The person I most admire is:
I wouldn’t say there was anyone specific (although I could mention a few musicians, like Kate Bush, Robert Plant for their talent and exploration) however I admire anyone who follows their dreams. I have friends who have gone traveling, moved to another country, quit their job and set up their own business, adopted children. To have the drive, passion and guts to take a risk or change their lives. Amazing!
In life, I’m inspired by:
Music. There’s a soundtrack for every event, every scene, every thought, every emotion. Music can make you laugh, cry, dance, scream. It can reflect a mood or can change a mood. I couldn’t imagine a life without music.
A little known fact about me is:
When I was two I fell down the stairs and knocked my head on the radiator at the bottom – some will say that explains a lot!
